Super absorbant (keep away from pools and lakes)

This comic marks the first appearance of J and Dee in Alex's comics; a long overdue courtesy, considering the riot the two of them are in reality. They have been together a few months longer than Alex and I, and they will be married sometime later this year. Alex and J have known each other for aeons, I tell you. As far as my opinion matters (not much), Alex got J's face dead-on, such is her subtleties in these strange ways of art.

I would say a few things about how Alex has drawn Dee, but I do not feel like getting punched randomly and unexpectedly for the next week or more. You know what I mean, just look for yourself.

Unforseen hindrances prevented Alex from completing the comic at her usual time. I imagine I am not helping her distraction level by being here now.

Not much humour or eloquence coming out of my writing at the moment, probably means I need sleep. I have considered writing my rants in advance, but I never know quite what to say until Alex has finished the comic. That usually happens late in the evening when we should be going to sleep, and her self-imposed deadline is drawing nigh. Today is essentially the same situation, just a day later than usual. Hope no one has gone through withdrawl in the past 24 hours because of us. Feeling cold and irritable? Here, have this comic.

Cheers to the Jack Daniels!

I think I drew Dee a little too tall. She is almost Jenny's size, except Dee doesn't look 12. She looks late teens, even though she is in her early 20s. I could just shrink Dee in Photoshop, but I think she'd get too little for the size of my comic frame (the art would get lost). Yes. Anyway. Dee is cute.

J & Dee (Jack Daniels) are two awesome people and we don't hang out with them often enough! I am sure they will appear in the comic again (if not more often from now on).

Also

Alex just updated our little rant icons. This is a long overdue change, and I think she has chosen good images for us all.
